Even though the Union County Sheriff’s Office is small in comparison to other sheriff’s office in Georgia, there is no reason we cannot be one of the most professional Sheriff’s offices in the State.
Eliminate Drugs in Union County
As your next Sheriff, I have a message for all the drug dealers in Union County, LEAVE NOW!
Revamp the Sheriff’s Office Undercover Drug Unit
I will rewrite the narcotics unit mission statement. The sheriff’s office will be 100 % focused on locating and arresting drug dealers.
Reinstate Union County Into the Drug Task Force
In my opinion, this is common sense. Why would the Sheriff’s office not be involved in a large narcotic information sharing organization.
Lower Taxes for Union County Residents
I have the experience to lower taxes with a smart and more efficient budget.
Respect the Law and the Constitution
I will lead a Sheriff’s Office that follows the Constitution and Georgia laws. As Sheriff, I will never side against your Constitutional Rights.
Transparency & Honesty
All taxpayer’s business should be done in the open. No behind the doors deals. I will be a Sheriff that makes himself available to the citizens.
Citizen Academy
This academy will include crime scene investigation, patrol operations and firearms training.
Citizen Crime Watch Program
The Sheriff’s Office will train communities in crime watch technics and crime prevention. We will help communities set up their own crime watch programs.
Child ID Programs
When recovering a missing child, the most important tools for law enforcement are an up-to-date, quality photograph, fingerprints and descriptive information.
Increase Safety in Suches
I will initiate better patrol services for the citizens of Suches.

I Will Not Allow Union County to be a Sanctuary County
As long as I am the Sheriff, I will not allow Union County to become a sanctuary County.
Work With Neighboring Law Enforcement Units
I will continue our working relationship with the Blairsville Police Department and re-instate our relationship with offices in neighboring counties.
Uniformed Policies and Procedures
This will ensure a written guideline for officers and staff. This will also give us a mark to measure our performance to ensure we as an agency are doing what you as taxpayers are paying for.
Achieve State Accreditation of the Sheriff’s Office
The state of Georgia offers a state accreditation which makes state grant money available for the Sheriff’s Office.
Reorganize and Train a new SWAT Team
If officers want to be on this team, they better be ready to work.

Honor Blairsville Deputies
Deputies working part-time with the Blairsville Police Department will be allowed to continue this employment.
Improved Working Environment for Officers
This includes better training and equipment, fair promotion procedures, and standardized pay scales.
Better Training, Better Equipment, and Higher Pay for Our Officers
As Sheriff, I only want the best officers. And to have the best, the sheriff’s office must offer these things to maintain our high standards.
Patrol Request Program
Going to be out of town on vacation? Contact the Sheriff’s Office and place place your residence on a patrol schedule. The Sheriff’s Office will keep a log of patrols of your home.
Agency Agreements / Agricultural Patrol Unit
If your are a rancher or farmer, the Sheriff’s Office can arrange an Agency Agreement with the owner. It allows the Sheriff’s Office Agricultural Patrol Unit to patrol your property and make arrest of trespassers.
